Mechanical Contact Air Plugs
These are designed to gauge bores above 10mm/0.39in. diameter, which are porous or where the surface finish is coarse. They may also be used for gauging shallow bores and other applications where open jet plugs are not suitable. They may be used on both through and blind bores up to a maximum measuring range of 0,1mm/ 0.004in. In the size range 10 -20mm (0.39 - 0.79in), the maximum measuring range is 0,05mm/0.002in.
Tungsten carbide pads are mounted on stiff reed springs whose inner surface operates against the jets.

Setting Rings
Setting rings for use with mechanical APG's can be manufactured to a variety of grades.
Our own Grade 1 & Grade 4 are recommended. Grades 'X' & 'XX' are also available.
